🎉 SFS Art Fest 2024: Jeff Petsche ⚡️
⚡️ Jeff Petsche will be a part of SFS Art Fest: "First and foremost, family comes before anything. Without the support of my family, my art journey would not be possible. I am a born and raised Southern Californian who currently resides in Orange County, and who found art later in life, or should I say, “art found me”.
As a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired police officer, I have been exposed to loud noises for much of my adult life, so now I suffer from Chronic Tinnitus (ringing/buzzing sounds in my head/ears). I was looking for an outlet to help my anxiety and stress caused from the tinnitus and distract me from the “loud noise in my head”, which never turns off. NEVER! Art became my outlet!
I am a self-taught, award-winning, non-objective artist who most likely falls into the American abstract expressionism art period. I have no formal art training, but I do get inspiration from so many other amazing artists I follow on social media platforms. I consider myself a student of what I call “Social Art”. The connections I make online in various art communities, artists I meet attending art shows, the success stories I read about, and the journeys of others I follow are what continue to inspire my own art journey. My art seems to be ever changing, which is what I love.
As a Gemini, I never seem to be satisfied with just one thing or one way of doing something. I always seem to be looking for something new, which is why I gravitate towards non-objective art. It gives me a level of freedom to experiment with a variety of artistic styles and expressions.
My current body of work is working with heavy and medium body acrylic paint, as well as spray paint from time-to-time for accents, shading or detail. Much of my work is done on stretched canvas and I am starting to investigate wood panels. See what I mean, “ever changing”. I enjoy layering paints and creating texture in many of my pieces. The system of “Synchromism”, which is “with color”, seems to speak to me more than a mute style, although it all depends on my mood, the look I’m going for and of course, the client and their desire when I commission a piece.
“I believe that if you do what you love, others will come to love what you do, and I think that is especially true when it comes to creating art”. I thank and appreciate all who view and support my art, and remember, no matter what your favorite type of art medium or style is, there are amazing artists out there creating bodies of work that you will come to love! Keep on painting!"
